Winter Appeal for Local Families
Our parish winter appeal is underway, collecting pantry staples, warm blankets and supermarket vouchers for peninsula families doing it tough this winter.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church is a registered Australian charity and Catholic parish. Our mission is to celebrate the Eucharist, hand on the Catholic faith through the sacraments, and serve the people of Dromana and the wider Mornington Peninsula — especially those in need.
For more than fifty years, our parish church on Foote Street has been a spiritual home for the Catholic community of Dromana, Safety Beach, McCrae, Rosebud and the surrounding peninsula towns.
We gather each week around the altar for the celebration of Mass, we prepare children and adults for the sacraments, we visit the sick and the housebound, and we support local families doing it tough through our parish outreach. Whether you are a lifelong Catholic, returning to the faith, or simply curious, you are warmly welcome here.
"Come to me, all you who labour and are burdened, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28
Everyone is welcome at our celebrations. Times occasionally change for feast days and holidays — please check our news page or contact the parish office to confirm.
From Baptism to the Anointing of the Sick, the sacraments are at the heart of parish life. We prepare and celebrate each one with care, in partnership with families and our local Catholic schools.
Welcoming children and adults into the family of the Church, with preparation evenings for parents and godparents.
A parish-based program preparing children to receive the Eucharist for the first time, celebrated with the whole community.
Young people sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit, supported by sponsors and catechists.
The sacrament of God’s mercy, available every Saturday evening and by appointment.
Couples prepare for a lifetime together with the parish priest and a marriage preparation course.
As a registered charity, our mission extends well beyond the church walls. Parishioners volunteer their time to support people experiencing hardship across Dromana and the southern Mornington Peninsula.
